The Interface of Spiritual Search and Poetry Writing

Through this 6 week course, I will discuss the lives and poetry of Lao-tzu, Rumi, Hafiz, Rilke, Mary Oliver & David Whyte. Their work will serve as inspiration to fuel writing exercises that center around a particular theme. You will get in touch with images that stir your soul and a new way to articulate unconscious material and bring it to light through the writing process.

Facilitator - Terri Glass
Terri Glass has been teaching poetry writing in the Bay area for the past 18 years. She has held workshops in a variety of settings from Sonoma State University to the Academy of Sciences to the Center for Attitudinal Healing. She has coordinated the California Poets in the Schools program in Marin County for 10 years and is active fostering the spiritual poetry program for children, Language of the Awakened Heart.She is the author of one book of poetry, Unveiling the Mystical Light and an innovative poetry & music CD called The Body of the Living Future.
